Flight Booking & Carriage Policy

Understand boarding timelines, ticket name verification, baggage limits, and carrier schedule rules.

Last Updated: January 2026 | Airline Regulations & Guidelines

This Flight Booking & Carriage Policy governs all airline tickets issued through Holidaynest. When you purchase air travel tickets with us, you are entering into a direct carriage contract with the carrier. Holidaynest serves solely as a booking agent, and this policy clarifies passenger duties regarding schedules, check-in, and luggage.

Critical Flight Rules

Reconfirm SchedulesPassengers must confirm flight status 72 hours before outbound and return flights.
Early Airport Check-InArrive at least 2 hours before international and 1.5 hours before domestic departures.
Outbound No-Show RuleMissing your outbound flight automatically cancels the return itinerary by the airline.
Standard Ticket RestrictionsAll flight bookings are non-refundable and non-changeable unless specified.

1Check-In & Boarding Gate Cut-offs

Airlines operate on strict, automated schedules. Holidaynest bears no responsibility if you are denied boarding due to late check-in. You must adhere to the following check-in time windows:

  • International Flights: You must complete check-in and luggage drop-off at least 120 minutes (2 hours) prior to the scheduled departure.
  • Domestic / Regional Flights: You must be at the check-in desk at least 90 minutes (1.5 hours) prior to departure.
  • Boarding Gate Closures: Most carriers close boarding gates exactly 45 minutes before takeoff.

Missing these deadlines results in a "No-Show" status, leading to 100% cancellation charges without refund options.

2Mandatory Flight Reconfirmation

Airlines frequently adjust flight numbers, departure times, and routes due to operational demands. It is mandatory for travelers to reconfirm their travel status:

  • Reconfirm your outbound flight status 72 hours prior to your departure.
  • Reconfirm your return flight status 72 hours prior to your scheduled return.

Failure to check flight schedules may result in you missing flight times or having your reservation cancelled by the carrier.

3E-Tickets & Passport Name Verification

3.1 Name Concordance: The spelling of traveler names on all issued tickets must correspond exactly with the passenger passport credentials.

3.2 Spelling Adjustment Fees: Any requests to correct name errors after ticket issuance will incur fee penalties, which may require purchasing a new seat at current market rates.

3.3 Ticket Delivery: Electronic tickets are emailed within 24 hours of receiving cleared payment. If you do not receive your documentation within 7 days of payment, contact our support team.

4Luggage Allowances & Restricted Items

4.1 Allowance Limits: Baggage limits are noted on your e-ticket. Fares categorized as "Economy Light" or "Saver" normally include cabin bags only. Checked luggage must be bought separately.

4.2 Luggage Damage or Loss: Holidaynest is not responsible for baggage lost or damaged by carriers. If your bags are lost, you must file a Property Irregularity Report (P.I.R.) at the baggage claim desk before exiting the airport.

4.3 Hazardous Goods: Passengers are forbidden from packing explosive, flammable, toxic, or hazardous goods in checked or hand luggage.

5Pregnancy and Special Physical Assistance

5.1 Travel During Pregnancy: Most carriers enforce restrictions for expectant mothers who have passed the 28th to 32nd week of pregnancy. You must travel with a medical "Fit to Fly" letter. The airline may refuse boarding if you do not have this documentation.

5.2 Special Requests: Requests for wheelchair access, medical transport, or dietary needs must be submitted at the time of booking. Holidaynest will forward these requests to the airline, but they remain **subject to carrier availability** and are not guaranteed.

6Airline Cancellations & Schedule Adjustments

Airlines reserve the right to alter flight schedules or replace aircraft types due to weather, traffic, or safety directives.

  • Minor Changes: Adjustments of less than 12 hours are not eligible for compensation claims.
  • Major Cancellations: If your carrier cancels a service, we will help you claim a refund or seek alternative seating. We cannot be held liable for secondary losses (such as prepaid lodging or connecting transfers) resulting from flight changes.

Technical Stops: A "Direct" flight may include intermediate stops for refueling. Unless explicitly stated as "Non-Stop," scheduled stops may occur. Holidaynest is not responsible for technical stops scheduled by carriers.
